Description
The Martin D-18 has now been an American classic for decades, with an exceptional sound well suited almost any style of music you care to name. This one, from 2017, is no different, and presumably won't be around our store for long. The Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides give the D-18 a broad sound profile with treble and midrange to spare, and the dreadnaught shape adds bass frequencies and helps boost the volume, making the guitar ideally suited for acoustic rhythm playing in a country or rock band. As one of Martin's flagship models, it's tremendously well constructed, with careful craftsmanship reflected in every curve, detail, and inlay. Scalloped internal bracing adds even a touch of extra volume and sustain to this already world-class guitar.
This D-18 comes to us in very good condition, with little in the way of obvious playing wear outside some light imperfections on the top. The set up is very good and is particularly suited for open-chord strumming and lead players with a strong right hand. Included in the price is the original Martin hard-shell case.
