Martin 000E Retro Plus

Description

While Martin have made a point of marketing their new Retro Plus series as budget-friendly, defining them in terms of their price point has felt reductive to all of us here at the Denver Folklore Center, as we can't help but feel these are great guitars by any measure, not just "for the price". Take this 000E Retro Plus, for instance - it's got a truly rich, elegant voice courtesy of a torrefied spruce top and a mahogany back and sides, in combination with scalloped bracing for a long, luxurious sustain. Martin have also emphasized playability on the Retro Plus line, with a slim and more modern neck contour complete with their proprietary High Performance taper that practically melts to fit the player's left hand as they ascend up the neck and reach for higher notes and brighter voicings. The 000E Retro Plus even comes with a Baggs Element active pickup pre-installed, for pro-level, stage-ready sound from day one. This is one of the best instruments Martin build at the Navajoa factory, and would make a great "next step guitar" for singer-songwriters who are beginning to get serious about their craft. Included in the price is a Martin soft-shell case.
