Description
While there's nothing we love better than a good dreadnaught here at the Denver Folklore Center, there's really something to be said for a fine small guitar - which this great little 2017 Martin 00-28 certainly is. The Sitka spruce top, paired with a back and sides both built from Indian rosewood, results in an impressively full-bodied and rich sound for such a compact instrument. The ergonomic shape and short scale length make the 00-28 a great guitar for playing both with and without a pick, with a sound that seems to change to respond to the unique attributes of your style. A full gloss finish and mother-of-pearl fretboard inlays add some visual pop without being gaudy, and the natural beauty of the rosewood and spruce can't be overstated, either.
This instrument's condition indicates very light playing, and that it was clearly cared for very well by its one previous owner. Very little distinguishes this 2017 00-28 from a brand new one. The set up is low and playable, and fret wear is minimal. We consider it to be in excellent condition. Included in the price is the original Martin hard-shell case.
