With a body shape not unlike an enlarged Gibson LG, but a long, 25.63" scale length, the LS Oak from Larrivée's Simple 6 line is sort of its own thing entirely - the running joke in our shop has been that LS stands for "Larrivée-Sized". Freed from the constraints of any one archetype of guitar, the LS has license to be something all new and all Larrivée, and players interested in what the future of the flat-top steel string has to offer will be floored by its modern handling, comfortable playing feel, and responsive, three-dimensional sound. As the name suggests, the LS Oak uses genuine Canadian silver oak on the back and sides, paired with a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany neck for a full-frequency response whether you're playing solo or in a group. It's shot in a minimal matte sunburst finish, with subtle appointments like wooden fingerboard binding, engraved tuners, and an aspen rosette. This is one of the very best US-made guitars you can find in this price range, and we'd be surprised if it sticks around in our store for long. Included in the price is a Larrivée hard-shell case.
