We dare you to find a guitar more fun to play than this diminutive little 2008 Larrivee PV-09-SBT. With a bright, clear sound that's only gotten better over 15 years of playing time, this gently used parlor shows just how great a small guitar can be. The PV-09 combines a Sitka spruce top with an East Indian rosewood back and sides, lending it a crystalline, bell-like tone whether strummed or fingerpicked. Jean Larrivée's modern approach to guitar luthiery is evident in every curve, making this instrument a visual standout as well, with a Venetian cutaway, maple binding, and of course, a gorgeous cherry red sunburst finish on the top.
Playing wear is fairly light, with a few small dents and divots in the top and on the back, but nothing that significantly compromises the aesthetic appeal of the guitar. The black Schaller tuners are non-original and were installed by the owner as a custom upgrade, but the original tuners are included in the purchase price, should the guitar's next owner want to re-install the factory set. It has recently seen a full professional set up and plays great in all positions. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
