Description

One of the things Kremona Guitars really excel at is building hybrid-style nylon string instruments for steel string players interested in playing classical, flamenco, or samba. This Kremona Sofia S63CW continues that trend, with a radiused fingerboard and a one-and-seven-eighths nut width to accommodate the hands of a guitarist more used to the slimmer and more curved neck of a steel string or an electric guitar. Additionally, the S63CW features a few other non-traditional features aimed at the non-traditional player, including a Venetian cutaway for improved access to the higher frets, and a Fishman PreSys active pickup, which makes amplification a snap while maintaining the acoustic integrity of the instrument. But despite the bells and whistles, in the plainest sense, it's a fine little nylon string with a rich, bassy sound thanks to the cuts of solid red cedar that grace the top, and the quality and workmanship is consistent with all the Kremonas we've seen. Included in the price is a hard-shell case to keep this great guitar adequately protected.
