Description
The Guild name is at this point almost synonymous with their outstanding 12-string guitars from decades past, making this 1977 F212XL-NT a slam dunk for our store. With a thunderous sound thanks to its jumbo-sized body, the F212XL has all the vintage tone you could ever want from a 12-string, making it a perfect addition to just about any guitarist's arsenal. A solid spruce top combines with a mahogany laminate on the back and sides, and the large neck gives it an authentic playfeel that just can't be had with today's hyper-modern guitars. Guild keep the visual appointments fairly minimal, with a natural gloss finish and pearloid inlays on the headstock, keeping the instrument classy and tasteful.
This guitar has seen a fair amount of playing time over its nearly 50-year lifespan, and is not without playing wear, with an average-to-below-average amount of picking marks and scuffs on the top, back, and sides, including some finish wear on the back. There's also a finish scar on the back of the headstock, but nothing that affects the guitar's structural integrity. It has just had a set-up and bridge reglue, and plays very well with low action in all positions. We consider it to be in very good condition. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
