Description

Collings make some of the best small-bodied guitars currently in production, with an approach to luthiery that seems to fluidly combine the modern with the classic. This beautiful 001 is the ideal fingerpicking machine for guitarists who want nothing less than a deluxe playing experience; we feel it can go blow-for-blow against any vintage American guitar you might care to name. Collings begin with a Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany back, sides, and neck for a classic tonewood pairing full of life and midrange, but the 001's unique voicing and sparkling high register are simply the product of expert luthiery, not just premium woods. Where playfeel is concerned, the Austin-based manufacturer has aimed for pre-war authenticity, with 12-fret construction, a wide, flat fingerboard, and a modified V contour for a classically chunky neck. It's one of the best small guitars you'll ever have the privilege of playing. Included in the price is a hard-shell case, manufactured for the company by TKL.
