Just like you'd find on a J-50, the Slope D features a tight-grained Sitka spruce top and some lustrous mahogany on the back and sides, and features a slope dreadnaught shape with a short (24 and 7/8ths of an inch) scale length. But Bourgeois guitars are far from just copies of classics: while they may take a famous instrument for inspiration, the handiwork and tonal complexity puts it into another category entirely from anything in mass production.
