Description

Master luthier Dana Bourgeois has been making terrific guitars out of his Lewiston, Maine shop for decades now, and luckily for us, they seem to simply get better and better. This Bourgeois D Country Boy from the company's Professional Series is the whole package, a versatile, full bodied dreadnaught guitar that picks up where a D-18 leaves off and compares favorably to anything on the market today. The AAAA-grade Sitka spruce top is tightly grained and hand-tuned for maximum tonal balance, and the mahogany back, sides, and neck add liveliness and immediacy to the guitar's attack and punch and make it a perfect vehicle for singer/songwriter or country strumming. This particular instrument's mahogany boasts such a broad frequency range with an unusually powerful low end that the guitar generates almost rosewood-like overtones! It's one of our favorite guitars and a spectacular example of how a fine dreadnaught should sound and play. Included in the price is a Bourgeois hard-shell case manufactured by TKL.
