Description
Nobody does a dreadnaught quite like Dana Bourgeois, which is why we knew we had no choice but to take this beautiful 2017 D Country Boy in on consignment. Taking after some of the most classic six-strings of all time, the Country Boy combines a torrefied Sitka spruce top with Honduran mahogany on the back and sides for a powerful and rich sound that has only gotten better in the years since it's rolled out of Dana's shop. Cosmetics lean towards the more minimal side of things, but subtle higher-end touches like hardwood inlays on the rosette and purfling, or the celluloid tortoise-pattern pickguard stand out upon closer inspection.
This instrument shows a below-typical amount of playing wear, with only a small array of scuffs and very minor dents on the top, back, and sides. The most visible wear is scuffing on the back, likely from a belt buckle, but it's only visible under oblique lighting. The owner of this guitar had a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup installed, and as such the original endpin is now gone. We consider it to be in very good condition. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
