Description
Bourgeois Guitars excel at making instruments that combine modern luthiery techniques with vintage aesthetics and sound, like this beautiful new 000 Vintage from the company's Professional Series. With a Sitka spruce top and a two-piece Indian rosewood back, the 000 Professional Vintage follows in the footsteps of a 000-28, but with all the incredible craftsmanship and detail that Dana Bourgeois' guitars have become known for. The guitar features a mellow, warm sound with lots of sustain and a surprising amount of bass for a 000, thanks to the beautifully scalloped X-bracing on the inside, and the shorter scale length and slightly tapered neck contour make it a great guitar for fingerpicking. But it's hard not to get fixated on the impeccable shade top finish, one of the nicest sunbursts we've ever seen from Bourgeois (or any manufacturer, for that matter), complimented nicely by the tortoise-pattern pickguard and herringbone purfling. All said, this guitar is the real deal. Included in the price is a hard-shell case manufactured for Bourgeois by TKL.
