Description
Master luthier Dana Bourgeois makes nothing but stunning guitars, and this 00 Hogtop from his Lewiston, Maine luthiery is no exception. It's an all-mahogany guitar with an incredibly rich, balanced voice and amazing tonal clarity that makes it perfect for a fingerpicker. There's a surprising amount of low end for a 00-size guitar - meaning the performer gets all the enjoyment and comfort that comes with playing a small bodied instrument, but without the thin and reedy sound sometimes associated with smaller guitars. Cosmetically, the Hogtop is fairly minimal and elegant, with understated ivoroid fretboard inlays, a deep brown cut of tastefully figured mahogany, and a full gloss finish. Not all that many guitars come out of Dana's shop, but we're thrilled to have this one. Comes with a Bourgeois hard-shell case.
