Description
Bruce Weber may have more or less retired from actively building mandolins, but the esteem of his fine, hand-crafted instruments has only continued to skyrocket in the years since. This lovely 2003 Beartooth sat near the top of his line of A-styles when it was first constructed, with premium-grade tonewoods and exceptional craftsmanship in every curve and cut. With a full, bright, and punchy sound, it's a great fit for playing fiddle tune, or accompaniment in an Americana group, and can also work well in the hands of a less traditional bluegrass player who wants something with a little bit of a more rounded sound than your typical F-style mandolin. A light cherry-burst finish has broken in well over the mandolin's lifespan, and a beautiful torch inlay on the headstock was added as a custom appointment by the instrument's owner.
Best of all, this great mandolin has come to us in excellent condition, with almost nothing in the way of playing wear or cosmetic wear. The action is low and works with most playing styles. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
