Description
A great mandolin at a great price? You'd better believe it! This Eastman MD-805 found its way into our store in barely-played condition, and we wanted to pass on our good fortune to our customers by putting it at a great price. Many of you reading this probably already know that Eastman mandolins are already an outstanding value, and a new MD-805, which features some of the company's best Adirondack spruce on top and some nicely figured maple on the neck, back, and sides, is already an ideal A-style for players interested in a next-level mandolin at a good price. The company's 800 series instruments are renowned for their playability, mid-range punch, and the elegant finish work, and this one is right in line with the best we've seen from them.
This MD-805 shows virtually no signs of playwear, and the set-up and playability are both great. At some point in the last four years, it parted ways with its original case and instead now comes with a Superior hard-shell case that fits the instrument very well. As it doesn't come with the original case, we are choosing to call the instrument excellent condition rather than mint, and as such, it has been priced accordingly.
