Description
Colorado mandolin builder Mike Atkinson has been crafting affordable high quality mandolins in the Denver Metro Area for around a decade. Most of his offerings are two-point mandolins that often feature alternative wood combinations besides the standard spruce and maple wood pairing. This Atkinson A2 Two Point features a solid Engelmann Spruce top and solid Peruvian Walnut back and sides. Both the fingerboard and bridge are made from Katalox, which which is a central American wood similar to ebony. The builder incorporated a fun stem and flower design in the headplate. It has a comfortable smaller body that creates a brighter sound yet this piece still has plenty of volume and projection. If you ask us this is a great deal for a hand crafted all solid wood mandolin.
This includes a new hardshell case.
