Description
We're lucky to have a talented mandolin builder like Mike Atkinson out here on the front range. This beautiful two-point A-style (his specialty body style) features redwood on the top and figured maple on the back and sides and seems to have stepped straight out of a previous era. It bears all the character and quirks of a hand-built mandolin, and an open, warm sound that makes you want to pick it up again and again. The neck feel is quite chunky - not the hyper-slim feel common on most modern bluegrass mandolins, encouraging a different sort of playing and a different technique than one's typical fare. This instrument is priced with a hard-shell case for added protection.
