Description

With a bright, balanced sound, stunning playability, and a gorgeous, modern design, the Taylor 814ce is the complete package, which makes this one, a 2019 model in near-perfect condition, an incredible value for our customers at just $ 2,850. The 800 series represents some of the very best of Taylor's production instruments, with quality of build, components, and visual appointments nearing the apex designated by the company's 900 series and Presentation instruments. The 814ce features an ergonomic but broad-voiced Grand Auditorium body with a full scale length and a cutaway, for a perfect compromise between comfort and a big, bold sound, and features bright, chiming cuts of Sitka spruce on top with back and sides built from remarkable Indian rosewood. Taylor's beautiful Element motif graces the pickguard and headstock in mother-of-pearl, and an abalone rosette and ebony pickguard add beauty and contrast to the top. It's a wonderful guitar, designed for the player who seeks perfection - because you won't get much closer to perfect than this.

This 814ce comes to us in near-mint condition, with no significant signs of playing wear in the top, back, neck, or frets. The set up is characteristic of high-end Taylors, with very low, extremely playable action. No repairs have ever been made on the instrument, nor are any required. The single previous owner took excellent care of this guitar, and it still sounds as bright and clear as it likely did on the day it was purchased. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
