Description
Another fantastic instrument from the Collings Guitar Company! The Collings Traditional Series is Collings guitars’ newest effort to perfect the coveted guitar designs of the nineteen thirties and forties. These instruments are made with the highest quality wood available and constructed using very thin nitrocellulose finish and dense animal protein glue resulting in a more responsive and dynamic guitar with less overtones- in Bill Collings' own words - "a guitar sounding guitar". The combination of the highest quality Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood, thinner finish, denser glue, and Traditional Series bracing pattern all make for one of the most resonant and responsive guitars out there. Cosmetics on this instrument aren't to be ignored either. The small herringbone purfling, gold Mother of Pearl inlay, and exotic stained ebony overlay make for an instrument that is as beautiful to look at as it is to play.
