Description

It's hard to find authentic Depression-era tone in a new guitar, but this gorgeous L-DBO-14 from Lewiston's Bourgeois Guitars comes pretty close. Modeled on a classic L body shape (master luthier Dana Bourgeois' personal favorite), this amazing instrument combines a tight-grained Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides for a punchy, bright, and powerful sound that calls to mind classic blues, folk, and ragtime from America's interwar period. Every detail and curve has been closely inspected by the builders at Bourgeois for a guitar that's just about flawless in every respect, and subtle visual touches like the ziricote fingerboard or the fine graining in the ivoroid make it a classy visual standout as well. It's a fantastic instrument that combines vintage and modern for a perfect sound and feel. Included in the price is a Bourgeois hard-shell case.
