Description

We always leap at the opportunity to have another D-28 in our store, so we were thrilled to be able to take this lovely one from 2017 in on consignment when it wandered into the shop. Players familiar with America's favorite guitar will already know what they're looking at, but for the uninitiated, the D-28 pairs a Sitka spruce top with rosewood on the back and sides for one of the loudest, clearest, and most versatile production guitars out there, lending its trademark rumble to every sort of acoustic music there is, and making high profile appearances on records by artists as disparate as Joni Mitchell, Tony Rice, John Prine, and The Beatles. This particular D-28 has also had an L.R. Baggs Anthem installed, one of the nicer acoustic pickups available today, with a dual-source system that allows players to dial in an organic, true-to-life sound while amplified.

This instrument is in very good condition with fairly little in the way of noticeable wear. There's some minor scuffing on the top and back, but all well within the range of acceptability. There's no structural damage to the guitar or anything that impacts playability, and the set-up is very good and is currently strung with light gauge strings. Included in the price is the original Martin hard-shell case.
