Description
Despite decades as a Taylor dealer, we can still confidently say that very few of the California manufacturer's guitars have ever reached the extraordinary level attained by this fantastic K14ce Builder's Edition. The Koa Series comes close to the very pinnacle of what the company produces, and the incredible attention to detail and quality-of-build is evident in every curve and contour. Combining a torrefied Sitka spruce top with all solid koa construction on the back and sides, the K14ce already boasts a phenomenally open and powerful sound when strummed and picked, augmented and bolstered by Taylor's proprietary V-class bracing system. Extensive abalone inlay work on the rosette, purfling, and the Koa Series' trademark vine fingerboard inlay make it a delight to lay eyes on, with a deep satin stain on the koa that doesn't obscure the wood's natural figuring. The Builder's Edition model also includes chamfered edges, a beveled cutaway and armrest, and premium gold Gotoh tuners for unparalleled tuning accuracy. Finally, the K14ce comes with Taylor's Expression 2 pickup system pre-installed and includes a hard-shell case to help ensure this tremendous instrument is adequately protected wherever it goes.
