Description

The Grand Theater is the newest line from Taylor Guitars and something we've been excited to see since it was introduced. It's a 7/8 size guitar, sizing just in between the company's famous GS Mini and their smallish Grand Concert shape. What that means is that the GT is impressively playable and extremely comfortable for the guitarist to sit with, but it also boasts greater volume and a more balanced tone than a GS Mini. In addition to the slightly longer scale length and the slightly larger body, some part of the greater volume and sustain also has to do with the company's new C-class bracing, featured exclusively on the GT models, a revolutionary new bracing system with fewer points of contact than an X-braced or even V-braced system. The Taylor GTe also features all solid wood construction, with solid Sitka spruce on top and ash on the back and sides, repurposed from ash trees growing in the greater Los Angeles area as part of Taylor's commitment to sustainability. Finally, it features Taylor's patented Expression II pickup system, designed by the company to give the most faithful approximation possible of the guitar's natural acoustic tone. Included in the price is a Taylor hybrid-style Aerocase.
