Description

Legendary dulcimer maker Bonnie Carol and The Denver Folklore Center are proud to present Bonnie Carol Dulcimer #477. This fine instrument is handcrafted at over 8,000 feet in elevation in beautiful Nederland, Colorado from beautifully grained Oregon Myrtle wood which Bonnie describes as having “a yellowish cast and a good curl”. Ziricote wood is used for the fingerboard, matching body binding, and intricate Celtic knot rosettes - a design feature Bonnie has been developing for “a couple of years now”. The scale length used on this dulcimer is 24-1/4” which means the strings are at less tension providing for a more mellow sound than comparable long scale models.m

Also included with this new Bonnie Carol dulcimer is a custom gig bag made just for Bonnie Carol dulcimers!
