Description
We're big fans of the authentic old-time tone you get from a banjo with a spunover rim, and few modern manufacturers are doing it anywhere near as well as our friends at Pisgah Banjo Company. This 11" Rambler Dobson Special features a copper rim rather than the more popular steel construction usually found on new five-strings, rolling off some of the banjo's high frequencies in exchange for a greater warmth and a more responsive low end. When paired with a brass Dobson-style tone ring and a walnut neck, even the most selective picker will be forced to admit that this is a clawhammer machine like few others. Included in the price is a Pisgah gig bag, manufactured for the company by Access.
