Description

Pisgah breathe new life into a classic model with the Laydie, modeled after the Vega Whyte Laydie, a storied banjo archetype from years gone by. Utilizing a classic Laydie tone ring (sometimes called the "Electric", even though there's nothing electric about it), this powerful little open-back boasts a complex, loud, and thumpy tone that makes it a truly stupendous instrument for all your frailing needs. Pisgah opt for all-maple construction with their standard 25.5 inch scale as the Laydie's chassis, for impressive volume and strong fundamentals for an authentic old time tone that meshes perfectly with the richness of the tone ring. A hand-applied satin varnish finish, aged brass hardware, and subtle cosmetic appointments like Pisgah's quilted star headstock inlay make this a beauty to behold, too. Include in the price is a soft-shell case, manufactured for the company by Access.
