Description

As Ome are no longer based out of Colorado, models from the company's classic era are set to skyrocket in desirability - not to mention price. This 2019 Ome Minstrel is exemplary of the company's best traits as a manufacturer, with a big, bright tone, beautiful aesthetics, and a stunning quality-of-build that made them a favorite among clawhammer players all over the world. This Minstrel sports a maple neck and a 12" maple pot for a powerful-yet-balanced sound that retains lots of cutting power in all positions and seems poised for use at jams or with your buddies in a stringband. As the name implies, the banjo features a Minstrel-style headstock, and also sports a matte burgundy stain that still allows the natural beauty of the maple shine through. This is a truly terrific open-back that we don't anticipate to stick around long.

This instrument arrived in our store in very good condition, with little in the way of playing wear to separate it from a new instrument. Railroad spikes were installed after-market at the 7th and 9th frets, but no other alterations have been made. It's recently seen a full set up and a professional fret dress and crown, and plays very well up and down the neck, with action set medium-high for progressive solo clawhammer. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.

*Please note, per our return policy, all sales on used and consignment instruments are final.*
