Description
Chuck Ogsbury's Ode line is designed as the ideal intermediate openback banjo for those players interested in a high quality instrument that can carry them to the next level, but every now and then we'll see one with additional appointments that starts to put it nearer to the Ome banjos that made Mr Ogsbury a Colorado legend. This wonderful Ode Special Edition 12" is one of those banjos, with a handful of beautiful upgrades that transform it into a new caliber of instrument. Most notable are the inlays: rather than the minimal design present on most Odes (mother of pearl fretboard dots and the now-trademark buffalo nickel in the headstock), the Special Edition features beautiful double-star inlays on the headstock as well as in the frailing scoop in abalone and mother of pearl. The full frailing scoop is also an upgrade over the side-scoop that usually comes stock on Odes and Utes. Overall though, there's simply a little more to this Ode than your standard, making for a wonderful experience for the serious banjo player.
