This Ode 12" open-back is the first five string Ode we've seen since Ome Banjos rolled out the line late last year. Pricing in-between a name brand Ome and the company's Ute line, the Ode is an excellent banjo for the serious clawhammer player looking for an upgrade in sound and style. The banjo has a punchy, bright, and direct sound that may surprise audiences who expect a more subdued character from a 12" pot and a Renaissance head, but the vitality of this banjo is what makes it stand out from similarly priced open-backs in our inventory.
