Description
While the term "limited edition" can be a little vague when it comes to a hand-built instrument, in the context of Odes, which are made by Chuck Ogsbury at Ome Banjo Company, the term is best understood to refer to an open-back that's begun to approach name-brand Ome territory. A slightly short scale length with a very thick, curly maple pot give this banjo a mellow, thumping tone perfect for old time music. The light tung oil finish and the buffalo nickel headstock inlay will be familiar from other models of Ode we've carried, but inlay work and binding is a bit more intricate, again approaching the visual beauty more characteristic of an Ome. Special to this batch, this instrument also includes a walnut neck, rather than the mahogany necks more typically seen on Odes and Utes. Included in the price is an Ome gig bag.
