Description

Those of you familiar with Gold Tone's excellent resonator banjos will probably already know about their OB-250, one of their finest instruments designed for three-finger play. But the addition of an arched top turns the standard OB-250 into this lovely OB-250AT, a percussive bluegrass banjo geared towards musicians who find themselves emulating the precise sounds of Ralph Stanley's banjo playing. The full flange and brass 20-hole tone ring that OB-250 players know and love are still here on its archtop sibling, and the solid maple neck and three-ply maple pot lend the banjo its traditionalist bluegrass sound. Appointments are vintage-inspired, with the Gibson "Hearts and Flowers" inlay pattern in mother-of-pearl on the neck and headstock, and a full gloss finish for a little bit of added visual pop. Included in the price is a Gold Tone hardshell case.
