Gold Tone OB-2
Description
Gold Tone's OB-2 revives one of the most classic of all American resonator banjos for the modern era - but at a fraction of the price of the original. Modeled after Gibson's iconic "Bow Tie" RB-250, the OB-2 sports the same maple pot and mahogany neck, and most importantly, a reproduction brass Mastertone tone ring under the hood. With a bright, classic, and sophisticated tone, the banjo has no problem new life into bluegrass classics of yesteryear, but also sports enough richness and warmth to work in contemporary settings, too. Gold Tone have done a great job keeping the cosmetics as close to the original as possible, down to the bow tie inlays, Mastertone marker at the 22nd fret, and the golden sunburst on the back of the resonator. Included in the price is a hard-shell case.
