Description

The low rumble of a cellobanjo has never been more attainable or affordable now that we've got this 2008 Gold Tone CEB-5 out on the sales floor. Dating from the model's very first year of production, this CEB-5 a beautiful, finely crafted open-back and one of the true standouts in the Florida-based company's lineup of alternative folk instruments. All maple construction gives this naturally loud instrument a real roar with powerful fundamentals, bolstered by a long sustain time and a mellow treble response. Under the Renaissance head, the CEB-5 also sports a rolled-brass, Wonder-style tone ring like those featured on some of the company's most popular instruments. A full gloss finish, gold hardware, and Weymann-style inlays complete the package visually for a banjo with a vintage-inspired calling card to balance its modern sound.

This instrument arrived in our store in excellent condition, with a great set up, no evidence whatsoever of repairs, and only the most minor of playing wear. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case, which has suffered minor damage to the handle but is otherwise in good working condition.
