Description

The banjitar - also sometimes called the six-string banjo - is perfect for a guitarist who wants the twang of an open-back banjo, but without the associated challenges of learning a new fretboard and right hand technique. Banjitars are also sought after by arrangers and producers, as they can add the texture and sonic character of a banjo to a track, but can easily be played by the group's guitarist. The playing feel is fairly similar to that of a medium to large size six-string guitar, thanks to the 25.5" scale length and 1-and-11/16" nut width, but the BT-1000's maple neck is joined to a quality 12" three-ply maple pot for the vibrant sound and impressive volume that only a banjo can provide. This instrument also boasts a rolled brass tone ring and a Renaissance head, which give it a greater depth and complexity of tone than a beginner's open back banjo might carry. The BT-1000 is of course made to Gold Tone's impeccable quality control standards, and comes with a Gold Tone-branded gig bag. Come check out one of the most unique instruments in our store before it's gone.
