Description

The Deering Maple Blossom sits near the top end of all the resonators manufactured by Deering Banjo Company, and this example from 2002 has all the sparkle and twang to prove exactly why the model is so highly regarded. Foremost, the Maple Blossom has (as the name implies) an all-maple construction on both the pot and the neck, giving it truly impressive volume, clarity and percussive snap, even when compared to other bluegrass banjos. As is to be expected on a banjo of this caliber, the Maple Blossom also features a full flange for increased sustain and power, and a no-holes, flathead-style tone ring, rather than the -06- tone ring featured in more recent Maple Blossoms. For the serious bluegrass banjo player, there are few instruments better than the Maple Blossom, which can truly be considered a professional-grade instrument.

This instrument is in excellent condition with almost no signs of playwear. It has been recently set up for low action amenable to traditional bluegrass as well as melodic three-finger playing. Included in the price is the original hard-shell case.
