Description

This excellent Ode 12" Limited Edition, hand-built by Mr. Chuck Ogsbury at Ome Banjo Co., comes with an added upgrade that may not stick around for long - a genuine, 25-year-old Gibson neck from before the company stopped producing banjos at their Montana factory. These necks have wonderfully flamed maple and beautiful rosewood fingerboards for a bit of a more percussive sound than your typical Ode, and also come with a curly maple pot rather than the less figured pots that typically adorn the company's Ode and Ute banjos. But even beyond the Limited Edition appointments, the Ode 12" is a fine, very serviceable open-back, coming stock with 26 brass brackets, a mahogany armrest, and a Renaissance head. Odes are perfect for intermediate banjo players - although the Gibson necks begin to move them into professional-quality territory. Included in the price is a padded Ome gig bag.
