Description
Addition by subtraction is the name of the game with Ode's 11" Fretless Magician, which sees Boulder-based banjo luthier Zen Ogsbury turn his terrific Magician model into a nylon-string old-time powerhouse. The Magician combines a cherry neck with a maple pot for classic clawhammer tone bursting with clear trebles and a mellow midrange. As per usual, Mr Ogsbury has done some fine work on the fit and finish of this instrument, opting for old-school appointments and a rustic, classic look that still indicates a high level of craftsmanship and careful attention to detail. Colorado is lucky to have such great instruments built right here in the Front Range - every new Ode we get in our shop quickly becomes a favorite of every customer we hand it to. Included in the price is a padded Access gig bag.
