Description

Ode open-back banjos have become a fast favorite here at the Denver Folklore Center through our first few years of carrying the line. Sitting in between a Ute and a name-brand Ome in the Boulder-based company's production line, Odes have a lot of secondary features that make them sought after by intermediate clawhammer players who still like the quirk and charm of a hand-built instrument. This 12" Limited Edition Ode features a maple pot and a walnut neck for a highly balanced sound perfect for old time music, with an extra bit of warmth and mellowness that set it aside from most other Odes we've seen thus far. Like all Odes (and Utes), it also features Chuck's signature buffalo nickel in the headstock and antiqued brass hardware to add to the banjo's rustic, old-school aesthetic. Included in the price is an Ome gig bag.
