Gold Tone PBS-M (2011)

Description

Gold Tone's collaboration with esteemed dobro builder Paul Beard provided intermediate pickers with one of the best bang-for-your-buck square-necks currently in production, with a big, lively sound thanks to its all solid mahogany construction. This PBS-M, from 2011, came into our store lightly used and will make for an absolute steal of a deal for the lucky dobro player who decides to bring it home. In addition to solid wood construction, this guitar features a genuine U.S.-made Beard aluminum cone and coverplate, with the builder's signature open soundwell, lending it the rootsy punch that have drawn players worldwide to Paul's work.

There is a moderate amount of wear on the coverplate and the top, including a noticeable dent or two, but nothing that compromises the instrument's structural integrity. It has recently been professionally set up and plays great, with a big, full sound. Included in the price is a TKL tweed case, which is not original but fits this dobro very well.
