New Santa Cruz Guitars We Like to Stock at the Denver Folklore Center
For over a decade we have been a proud dealer for Santa Cruz guitars. These are wonderful hand-built instruments from the small shop of Richard Hoover, who has been building guitars since 1972. Some of his better known customers include Eric Clapton, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Elvis Costello, Warren Haynes, and Harry Tuft.

Santa Cruz Nineteen Twenty-Nine Model
To honor the simple and elegant presence of instruments made for players enduring the Great Depression of 1929, Santa Cruz designed a simple and refined guitar, an interesting replica of a Martin 00-17, with a solid headstock and 12 frets to the body. The Nineteen Twenty-Nine Guitar – a timely marriage of extraordinary lutherie and soul comforting simplicity – is now available at the Denver Folklore Center.

Santa Cruz DPW Model
A solid wood dreadnought guitar with the sophisticated tone and playability that Santa Cruz is famous for, at a reasonable price. "PW" refers to the pre-war advanced X bracing that provides an incredible presence and bass response while retaining good balance - strong midrange and bright powerful treble response.

The Tony Rice model is the flagship of Santa Cruz's dreadnought line. Big soundhole, big sound! It has a thin neck with a pronounced "V" shape that feels great.
